New CNC part 3
Well it was only a matter of time before I rebuilt my CNC. I needed to tighten up the x y axis as it gittered and was causing all kinds of headaches. I installed real CNC thread rods and hardened steel linear rods. I don’t have the motors setup yet or the small tweaks yet. That will be later on.

Looks good, you’ll have to tell us how much it improves the machine. It looks nice and solid now.
How did you mount the hardened linear rods? We used similar rods on our machine, and Gary took them up to his dads machine shop and drilled holes in the rods as best and straight as possible, and then we mounted them that way, but it was a pretty big hassle, wonder if you came up with a better solution…
The machine looks larger than your last one did too, is it? Do you have more cutting area now? Looks like you could cut out one of your small arcades on it now
